The September 16th Corporate Run/Walk & Company Picnic attracts approximately 15,000 participants of all levels of fitness (walkers, joggers and competitive runners) from more than 400 Atlanta companies as well as hundreds of individual participants. If you work for a small, mid-size or large company, a school, or are self employed, join us! The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Company picnic and training program is for you! Grab your friends or come by yourself and make some new ones!
First, a team captain sets up the team. Then, employees (and family/friends) sign on as part of a company team. Phase one is July 26-September 16 Get Fit Atlanta Training promotion. Participants receive a free 8-week training plan, in addition to monthly fit tips, personal health assessment tools, healthy recipes, discounts and more. The program culminates at Turner Field on Thursday, September 16, 7 p.m., with a 5K (3.1 mile) Corporate Run/Walk and Company Picnic popularly known as the "World's Largest Office Party."

If so, please fill out a “Most Fit Company” application (available here May, 2010) to be considered for the Kaiser Permanente Cup, a special recognition given to companies that provide a healthy work environment for employees. The “Most Fit Company” application is designed to help identify the strength of your company’s employee health & wellness initiatives. Awards are presented to companies based on employee size in four categories: more than 5,000 employees; 1,000 – 4,999 employees; 100-999 employees; and 100 employees or less.The survey takes just a few minutes and will be judged by the Worksite Workgroup of Georgia's Nutrition and Physical Activity Initiative. This initiative is a joint effort between the Division of Public Health and its public, private and non-profit partners, to prevent obesity and other chronic diseases through healthy eating and physical activity initiatives across the life span.
